The R750 is a lot heavier than other sawmills of the same price and length. This weight comes from the strength of the bed and the extra steel used in reinforcement – preventing saw bed warping over years of use and making the machine better suited to handle heavy logs.
Get more when buying a Rhino R750 – but don’t just look at price. Compare the machine weight, body construction and components, saw head support and cost of spares. Rhino excels in every metric when compared to foreign imported mills in the same class.
• Uncomplicated design for easy first time use
• SADC Certified to avoid importing duties in Africa
Besides the tough construction of our mills, there are many other important features that set the Rhino range of band sawmills apart from its competitors. Some of the key features are:
Simplicity of design. At Rhino we believe in keeping it simple by focusing our attention on building a world class mill which operates reliably without the need for finicky and breakable parts and electronics. We know that the milling environment in Africa is tough, so we build our machines accordingly.
Standardized parts. All our sawmills are built using standard internationally-available parts which are non-specific to our brand and can therefore be easily bought from your local engineering and bearings shop. Of course we stock all the parts you’ll ever need, but we believe that our customers should always have the option to buy spares locally in times of need as to minimize machine downtime and to reduce dependence on only one source of supply.
Interlocking bed design. Our sawmill bed carriages are made up of interlocking sections, allowing the bed length and log capacity to be extended as needed, importantly it also allows for easy replacement of damaged bed sections without the need for full bed replacement as is the case with many other mills.
Easy transportations. The interlocking design of the Rhino sawmill beds implies that the machines can be broken down and palletized as to take up far less space during transport, and is therefore much cheaper and easier to handle in terms of transportation. The customer then simply re-assembles the bed carriage when the mill reaches its destination.
Long lasting bearings. Our Rhino sawmills come equipped with some of the best bearings money can buy – meaning a much longer life for each bearing. We don’t cut corners on quality and neither should you.
We stock and sell a wide range of high quality band saw blades for a variety of wood types and applications. Speak to our service team and they will advise.
All spares and consumables can be purchased conveniently via our website to be delivered by courier to your door. Alternatively, due to the benefit of Rhino sawmills using standardized parts, in most cases you will be able to buy bearings, bolts, lubricants and other consumables over the counter from your local spares shop.
The most common parts and consumables needed are band wheel bearings, blade guide rollers, band wheel belts, drive belts and service kits for the Kohler gas engines which includes air filters, main air filters, oil filters and oil, fuel filters and spark plugs. All these parts are readily available.
Of course, we regularly provide technical training to our customers and their machine operators across Africa. Training can be provided on premises or in the field.
Yes, we specialize in providing technical sawmill services across Sub Saharan Africa. We have a network of agents in your country which are always supported by our own team of technical experts.
Yes we supply service and spare part kits to our customers for their Rhino sawmills. These kits include a set of the most common wearing parts and will make servicing in the field a breeze, ensuring that you keep your sawmill up and running and minimize downtime.
